RrraaawrRrr! You hear adventurers dying nearby. The thrashing of a mighty dragon once again destroying the town. Feathers drift slowly through the churning air over the bloody battlefield. Fledglings that had never quite left the nest, now never will. Fairies chitter tearfully in the freshly scarred trees. Sakgopon, the black dragon lifts his head to the sky and bellows as he flies off into the distance! Sakgopon is seen flying off into the distance to fight another day … So many dragons have attacked this vibrant town. So many delicate lives have been lost over the years. Yet adventurers insist on provoking them. Insist on bringing havoc to the cherished peace. And more often as of late, they fail in their endeavors. The scaly beasts grow ever stronger. And then, again riled by “heroes”, once more disturb the sanctuary of this place. MorNap has been getting fewer naps. And he makes sure the lords know it. “The younger generation doesn’t know the first thing about slaying dragons! Why in my day, we killed them before they fled their lairs!” Requests for more trade goods to replace things destroyed have increased exponentially. Myranna is adamant about needing new mirrors before the bad luck starts multiplying. Doreigne’s stock of remedies is all but depleted. Gaspar claims a lack of supplies is behind his perpetual closure for lunch. Usually quiet in her devotion, the Crystal Priestess advocates for more initiates to aid the church with the influx of resurrections. Surrounded by the gorish remains of her beloved unicorns, Felinaa can’t stop crying. The captain of the guard, backed by Helphyre and Carafan, demands change. ~~~~~~~~~~ Woken from their long slumber, the Lords of Apathy are finally taking action. Invoking secret druidic rites, the forest is growing stronger. Branches interweave overhead, their leaves sheltering and hiding the life below. Nests have been ensconced in sturdy houses. Residents are starting to move indoors. Will this stem the tide of unruly dragons running amok? Will adventurers be better able to slay the mighty beasts? Will the lords once again fall to apathy?
