RECYCLE

The Steam-Driven Recycler is a powerful contraption that can break down
equipment into valuable resources, depending on the type of item.

Wild or unusual gear is unstable and cannot be resold or traded like
normal items. Recycling these items converts them into **reward momentum**,
fueling your chances of earning new wild items in the future.

Normal, recyclable equipment can be broken down into **crafting components**,
which are stored against your character and used in forging or crafting
blueprinted items.

Syntax:

use recycle <item>

Examples:

use recycle boots
use recycle 2.sword

You must be standing in the Recyclers chamber to use it.

WHAT HAPPENS

- The Recycler examines the items weight, condition, and remaining durability.
- **Wild Equipment:** Converts into reward momentum. Stronger or rarer items
yield more momentum. Even broken wild items produce something, though
less than fresh ones.
- **Normal Equipment:** Produces components for crafting. Better
condition or rarer items yield more components. Components are recorded
against your character and **cannot be traded, sold, or given to others**.

FEEDBACK MESSAGES

The Recycler provides live feedback:

- Weak or worn items sputter and spark as energy is extracted.
- Large, rare, or powerful items may light up the chamber with energy.
- For normal equipment, it reports which components and quantities you
have gained.
- For wild equipment, it reports momentum gained to improve future wild
drops.

RULES & NOTES

- Only recyclable equipment can be processed. Items not designated for
recycling are rejected.
- Component or momentum yields vary by item type, rarity, condition, and
size.
- Recycling is never fully predictable: identical items may produce
slightly different results.
- Recycled items are **consumed**. Be careful not to recycle something
you intend to keep.
- Components can be spent on crafting new items using blueprints
