Description:
For decades, the tiny village of Egriel has been home to a collection of lumberjacks and farmers. These poverty-stricken inhabitants made a meager living by harvesting wood from the surrounding forest, and growing vegetables and herbs to trade at other nearby villages. A generation ago, a band of druids migrated near the village and came into contact with the residents of Egriel. The druids eventually taught the villagers how to cultivate better gardens and gather wood without harming the forest. The villagers quickly embraced these techniques, and Egriel soon became known as a source for rare medicinal herbs and potions. The hamlet remained small and simple, but the villagers no longer lived in extreme poverty. Recently, however, visiting merchants and villagers have begun disappearing. Shadows and strange yellow lights are spotted moving through the forest at night. The druids have withdrawn into seclusion, and have even begun attacking small groups of lumberjacks in the woods. The few animals that did not flee the forest have been found torn to shreds by some malevolent force. Please see ANNOUNCEMENT 511 for the full storyline of this zone.
