As Shadowclaw's wealth increased and his operation spread, he realized that a permanent stonghold would be needed, in order to keep better track of his inventory. He had his fortress constructed, and stocked it with advisors to aid him, troops to protect him and enforce his will, and provisions to feed them all. Rumors speak of the wealth amassed by Shadowclaw and stored within the walls of his fortress and of the sinister creatures summoned from beyond the pale to be his personal guard.
