4 Player Multiplaying |
From Vryce,
That did not last long. We went back to the before-times with no
multiplaying for just a day instead of a week. Why? Feedback. Too many
emails, tells, prays, global channel discussions and it seems nearly
everyone wants some multiplaying abilities. We also know what no
multiplaying is like after 33 years of it.
FOUR!
FOUR PLAYER MAX multiplaying is the next experiment. You may play 4
characters at once. Please do not make the staff feel bad by having to
discipline you for playing more players. The staff is here to have fun
just as you are here to have fun. Freezing players is never fun. It
feels terrible in fact.
Four players means we are still a multiplayer game. It means you and one
friend can do almost anything well. It means you may need one pal, one
friend, one stranger, one other player to do some things in the game.
Four players means you can solo with one of each class and dive into
your antisocial mood when you want. It means you can still do a ton of
stuff all alone when you cannot find someone you want to adventure with.
Four players should prove to be fascinating fun in my opinion. It gives
older power players more power over a newer player, but not an army sized
advantage.
Please be patient as we continue to experiment and continue to give
feedback to the staff or myself. If you discuss and debate these changes
on global channels, be good about it. We will not tolerate using the
global channels to dis the game, a player, a clan, or the staff. That is
too easy to do during turbulent times. It shows weakness and fear. Be
strong and have hope instead. Spread love and magic as you debate how
our world is managed.
Running Medievia can be stressful sometimes. I can mold the game like
clay in a million ways across hundreds of features but WHEW!
Multiplaying is a different way to mold the game. One number. One number
and I mold and shape every aspect of nearly every feature. Be patient as
I change this number every once in a while. We will eventually settle on
what is best. We will do it together.
Email vryce@medievia.com and tell me who you are and why you're the
person to start and lead this important new department, which may expand
if more Gods are needed.
