Before You Begin

Unlike regular underwater areas of the game you will not be able to cast the breath water spell without the help of a special item.
To survive under the ocean you must be able to breath, to do this you will need to purchase "An Aquoderm's lung". This item
will allow you to cast this life saving spell. For the spell to work you must have this item in your inventory.

Next it is advisable to also have "A Kraken's swim bladder". This item allows you to move up or down at a tremendous pace.
When held and the command UU or DD is used you will move 10 rooms at a time! While holding this item you will also be able
to "stick" yourself to the ocean floor making trading much easier.

Both of these items can be purchased at various shops around medievia at a cost of 1,000,000 coins each
(HINT: Check out the shops in the cleric quarter of med city). They can also be looted off the relevant Mob Faction on ships.

These items have a limited lifespan of 13 days for a lung and 20 days for a bladder, they cannot be egged.

Under ocean Commands

Fly drop - This will have your dragon drop you on the ocean surface

DD - Move down 10 rooms holding bladder / Stick to the ocean floor

UU - Move up 10 rooms holding bladder

NN - While mounted on a seahorse this command will move you towards the formleader

EE - Turn 90 degrees to the right

WW - Turn 90 degrees to the left

Note: When formed your form will not follow automatically as they do on land, in order to follow the whole form must be mounted
on sea horses and use the NN command.

Death under the ocean.

When you die you will be transported to Davy Jones' Locker. To resurrect walk w and type 'ENTER'. You will be placed on land at
the closest cardinal direction i.e North, South, East, or West. If you are trading simply call and fly freight c otherwise fly
in a straight line to what you believe was your last position under ocean.

Spells under the ocean.

Some spells will work differently when you are below the ocean surface. As you are under water no fire spells will work for obvious
reasons. Acid Blast will not work either.Shockwave will have increased damage as it would in all other underwater situations.

The spells of choice for maximum damage are lightning spells. The spells call lightning, chain lightning and lightning bolt.
This gives a clear advantage to mages and clerics to a lesser degree.

The heal spell increases in potency substantially and you move deeper under the ocean. (hint: kill ocean life in DEEP water)

Miscellaneous Under Ocean Information.

To navigate the oceans you will need to get a handle on coordinate, depth, and distance to bottom.

uo information

In every room you enter this information will be presented to you. X is your coordinate position along the west east axis.
With Y being your position along the North South axis.

As you move deeper your depth indicator will increase and consequently your distance to bottom will decrease. This information
will become crucial when trading. You will also see in which direction you're facing. We will cover this in more detail in future
sections.

All this information will be used to determine your position on the map and allow your form to gather when separated for any number
of reasons.

Sharks carry gold, if you kill one don't forget to loot it.

Gameinfo Fae - Show a breakdown of fae collected and used for the previous day

Gameinfo Fae Underocean - Shows a monthly chart of fae collected from critters.

The spell Sense Weather is very helpful in determining where you are. It can be hard to keep track when you are trading so this
spell is critical to navigation.

As you get closer to land you can use the spell Wizard's eye (c wiz) this allows you to see the world as you would on land to help
you arrive at those hard to find exit points for trading.
