Ship Commands

Shipping is a very complicated activity and, as such, has dozens of commands. On this page we will explain what each of these does and how they will help you.

Ship Status
One of the commands you will use most is ship status.

Here at a glance is all the critical information a captain needs to know about the status of their ship. Damage is displayed in this view by section, not by area. For example, your guns are represented in a single row and not as starboard and larboard. Now is a good time to mention hull rooms. These are not limited, as many might think to the lowest level of the ship, but also some rooms above. A good way to figure this out is if you can man a pump you are in a hull room.

Also listed on the stats page will be active ship spells and incoming fire from enemy ships.

The information you will look at most often here is your heading, speed, and depth under keel.

Ship status nav
Ship sta nav for short. this will show you information related only to navigation.

Ship who
Lists all players on your ship where they are and what they are doing.

Ship helm
This command allows you to take the helm and stear that ship. Anyone can take the helm; they do not have to be captain.

Ship raise
Your ship sails have 3 states, furled, battle, and full. The furled state is rarely if ever used on an active ship. Probably the only time you will see the sails in the state is on a brand new ship off the assembly line. So from furled you can ship raise battle or ship raise full

Ship lower
This will have the opposite effect to raising the sails. You will be able to either Ship lower battle or Ship lower furled. Once again furled sails are almost never used and doing so at sea would not be the best idea, without raised sails your ship will not move.

Ship Recent
Ship recent is essentially your ship log. When you attack a serpent it will display here. If the serpent rams you it will tell you how much damage it caused. You will also see appointed captains, secure or unsecure, course changes, ship saved out, when a ship is pumped dry and everything else you need to know as a captain.

Ship request
This command will send a boarding request to the captain of a ship that is not in your clan

Ship approve/blist
Ship a or ship blist shows a list of players who have requested to join your ship. Permission can be revoked by the captain at any time by doing SHIP DENY if the player has not yet landed on your ship permission is revoked. If they are on your ship they will be forced to walk the plank. Useful for getting rid of idle players getting in the way of your deckhands or people who have come to cause trouble.

Ship Fae
Ship fae will show you a breakdown of the fae distribution by clan. If other players have come to help, a percentage of the Fae collected while they are on board will be shared with them when you dock.

Ship damage
Another command you might find yourself using quite often is ship damage. This is a layered display of all your ships rooms starting from the top of the masts down to the lower hold. Unlike the rooms displayed in ship status here you can see exactly where the damage is. Damage is represented by colors

  • Green: Undamaged
  • Cyan: Light damage
  • Orange: Medium damage
  • Red: Critical damage
  • Red outline: Destroyed
  • Dark Red: The room is on fire

Ship weigh
Used at the capstan to raise the anchor. The capstan in located on the south side of the main deck all the way to the east.

Ship drop
Used at the capstan to drop anchor preferably at the docks. If you drop anchor when not at docks small serpents will be attracted to your ship and attack you.

Ship spy
Ship spy is a command that can only be used from the crows nest which can be found all up on the main mast. Ship spy will show you the SHIP STATUS of the targeted ship.

Ship map
Ship map will show you area map, while the map will be displayed every time your ship moves a room at sea you will often want to manually see the map

To enable your ocean map type map s

Ship gun
Shows you all guns and ammo count and if the guns are loaded.

An empty gun will appear with - instead of the letter. In this screenshot you can see FireCaster on the Star and Larboard and DartFlinger on the Stern and Bow. BoltThrower will be represented with an L.

Ship goto
This command will bring you to the helm from the wilderness. If your ship is docked you must be nearby to use this command. If your ship is at sea anyone in your clan can use this command to go to your ship instantly from any LPK wilderness room. For players not in your clan they will need to have died on your ship in order to use goto.

Ship effects
Ship effects or ship e lists active spells on the ship, enemy spells will also be displayed.

Ship activity
Ship a shows significant activity about your ship. You will see things like serpent attacks and MF activity.

Ship tag
Ship tag can be used to track serpents if you chum something good but dont have the time to finish killing it or to even start. You will need a serpent tag available from shops throughout Medievia.

To tag the serpent you must be standing on deck in a room with a gun. Hold the tag and type "ship tag serpent". Once you have successfully tagged the serpent you can look at the tag to see its current location. You can sell or trade the tag if you wish. If the serpent dies the tag will crumble. Beware tagging smaller serpents they can become aggressive and attack you instead.

Ship battle raise *******USE WITH CAUTION*******
Ship battle raise will raise your battle flag. The process takes 5 minutes BUT cannot be canceled once started. Once the flag is raised it cannot be lowered. Raising your battle flag turns your ship into a pirate vessel and can be attacked by any other ship in PK waters.

Ship grapple
This will attempt to throw a rope and grapple an enemy ship. You can only use this command from the upper deck of the ship. The enemy ship must be between 0 and 0.9 range in order to make an attempt. You can grapple from Stern, bow, larboard, or starboard.

Ship ungrapple
This will cut the ropes of a grappled ship. Wield a dagger and type ship ungrapple. You must be on the same side of your ship as the enemy ship to perform this action.

Ship board
Use this command to board an enemy ship that you have successfully grappled.

Ship Clear
Ship clear will remove all players from your ship and place them on the dock. You must be docked to use this command. Your blist will also be cleared.

Ship drag
Ship command is used to move MF corpses used for ship spells around your ship. If corpses are left above decks they will quickly deteriorate and vanish. It is a good idea to store corpses of the same type in the same room off the main path in the gun rooms.

Syntax: Ship drag corpse <direction>

Ship shots
Ship shots shows you a list of all incoming weapons fire aimed at your ship.

Ship quit
Ship quit will save your ship out for 30 hours. When you quit out your deckhands fees will be deducted from your personal ATM. If you are fighting a serpent a 5 minute timer will start when you use the command. If you kill a serpent and it splits your timer will be canceled and you must wait 10 minutes before quitting again. You cannot quit if you have been engaged in combat in the last 10 minutes.

Ship Float
Float is used when you have run aground. In order to get off the serpent or land mass you will need to turn your ship to face away from the obstruction and type "Ship float". You will begin rocking the boat until it breaks loose. Performing other actions will break your concentration and stop trying to float the ship.

Ship call
Ship call will summon a giant sea dragon, this is the fastest means of travel on the ocean and will cost 10,000gold * the ship's tonnage. A Man O'War at 250 tons will cost 2,500,000 gold deducted from your clan ATM. To get rid of the dragon once you have reached your desired location type ship dis seadragon. Take note that if another captain in your town has used a seadragon within the last 120 minutes the cost can increase to as much as 4,000,000.

Ship dismiss
Ship dismiss has multiple uses. The one you will use most is for deckhands. Ship dis deckhands will dismiss AND recall your workers. Do not forget to do this before you set sail. You can also use ship dismiss for mob factions and seadragons.

Ship fire
Deckhands on a sloop and sitharians cannot be dismissed. They will need to be hired and fired each trip.
ship fire 10 deckhand for a sloop
Ship fire 15 deckhands for a sith

Ship stats
Ship stats is a fun command that will show you your ship's lifetime achievements.
