SPELL_BLINDNESS

about the blindness spell.

Usage       : cast blindness <victim>
Accumulative: No
Duration    : 3 + level/6
Level       : Level 8 mage, level 6 cleric
Mana Usage  : 5

Blindness will blind a victim failing its saving throw.
A blinded person will have -4 penalty to hitroll and +40 to AC.

If you are blinded while fighting, you cannot see your opponent. You will
not be able to cast direct spells at a mob, so you will only be able to
cast room spells.
