The Steam-Driven Recycler is a powerful machine that breaks equipment down into useful resources. You must be standing in the Recycler's chamber in the City of Trellor to use it.

The Recycler examines the equipment's type, weight, rarity, condition, and remaining durability before determining the result.

Normal recyclable equipment produces crafting components. Better-condition or rarer equipment may yield more components. The components are recorded against your character and cannot be traded, sold, or given to another player.

The Recycler reports the types and quantities of components gained.

Wild or unusual equipment is unstable and cannot be resold or traded like normal equipment. Recycling it produces reward momentum instead of crafting components. This momentum improves your chances of receiving new wild items in the future.

Stronger or rarer wild equipment produces more momentum. Even broken wild equipment produces some momentum, although less than fresh equipment. The Recycler reports the amount gained.

The Recycler provides live feedback while operating. Weak or worn equipment may cause it to sputter and spark, while large, rare, or powerful equipment may fill the chamber with energy.

Yields vary according to equipment type, rarity, condition, durability, weight, and size. Recycling is deliberately unpredictable, so identical items may produce slightly different results.

Only equipment designated as recyclable can be processed. Rejected equipment remains untouched. Successfully recycled equipment is consumed permanently, so check the item carefully before recycling it.
