I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and my family moved to just outside of West Chester when I was two. I attended various schools in the West Chester Area school district and graduated from West Chester East high school in 1991, ranked 5th out of my class of 409. In high school, I played tennis and belonged to many clubs. I was also a member of the National Honor Society, where I served as secretary my Senior year and the French National Honor Society where I was president.

After East, I traveled up the turnpike and west to Lock Haven University. I spent my Sophomore year in Mulhouse, France, studying at the Université de Haute Alsace. While in France I traveled to Italy, Germany, Switzerland, England and within France itself. I was a part of the Honors Program at Lock Haven- 1 of 20 admitted per year. I was the only one from my class to finish the program and graduate with Honors. I graduated from Lock Haven in 1995 Summa Cum Laude, with University Honors.

Soon after my graduation from Lock Haven, I became a daily substitute for several school districts in Chester County. In the fall of 1996, I taught French at an elementary school foreign language program two mornings a week. I was also a camp counselor at an International camp in Maine and a day camp in Devon for 2 summers. In December of 1996 I became a long-term substitute in the North Penn school district. The following year I started at Wissahickon High School. I've been there ever since!

I recently earned my Master's degree in Applied Technology from Chestnut Hill College. I specialized in Technology & Education, and I learned how to design educational software, how to develop educational websites and how to integrate technology into teaching. I graduated in May, 2003. Check out the Website for my Thesis study.

On a more personal note, I was married July 1, 2000. My husband Mike and I spent our honeymoon in Las Vegas and on a cruise to Alaska. It was the most amazing vacation I have ever taken. We purchased our first house in September of 2001 and are very busy as homeowners. On July 25th, 2003 we had a little baby boy named Benjamin Thomas! He's such a cutie!

In my time away from school I like to spend time with my family, surf the Internet, work on an Internet game called Medievia (I do the web site and the game newspaper), play with my dog Maggie, my cats Sequoia & Bink, my tortoise Jacob, and my iguana Charles, tend to my flowers and plants, read, go hiking, and shop.
