Throughout my years as a French teacher, I have always tried to incorporate a few 'artistic' projects throughout each
course I teach. As almost all educators know, some students showcase their talents better through creativity than completing
formal written assessments or oral presentations. Although not all creative projects require the use of technology, the following projects
assigned to the French 5 students have been completed with the use of the Internet, word processing software, publication software, and even
photo-editing software.
Airline Flyer
Using the vocabulary that they learned from the textbook in Chapter 1, the students were to design a
flyer advertising a special-priced flight on an airline of their creation.

Restaurant Menu
In correlation with Chapter 2 of their textbook whose theme is food, cuisine, and French restaurants, the students
were to create a restaurant of their own and design its menu.

Autobiographical Poem
The theme of Chapter 3 is 'Who am I?'. Based on that theme, the French 5 students were to create
an autobiographical poem in French based on the following format:
first name
4 descriptive adjectives
family relations
who is happy when..., sad when..., another emotion when...
who fears... (3 things)
who would like to see... (3 things)
resident of...
last name
