The focus of this semester of the Forum course is on the French-speaking islands of the world. They are introduced and taught by the bodies of waters in which they lie: Caribbean Sea & Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Pacific Ocean. I have outlined how I integrate technology into the teaching of each island group.

• Cultural videos on Martinique, Haiti, Madagascar, Ile de la Reunion, and Tahiti.
  
  
• Island music CDs with lyrics.
  
  
• Guadeloupe Internet Activity using Antilles-info-tourisme.com/guadeloupe.
  
  
• La Cuisine aux Antilles food project. After completing an Internet Activity on the cuisine of the Antilles, students use the Internet to research a recipe that depicts that type of cuisine. They present their completed recipe with a flyer created using Word, Pubisher, or Power Point.
  
  
• Film Study of Rue Cases-Negres using lesson plans from Filmarobics.

• Les Vacances aux Antilles Web Quest. In groups, students plan a trip to the French-speaking islands of the Caribbean. Their itinerary must include 2 islands, 4 cities, 2 attractions in each city, transportation within and in-between cities, and hotel accomodations. Students present their trips through Power Point presentations.

• Tahiti Internet Activity using Tahiti-explorer.com.
  
  
• Une Ile Francophone. Each student researches a French-speaking island that wasn't taught during the semester. They create a presentation using French, the Internet, word processing software, and Power Point.
