The focus of this semester of the Forum course is on the French-speaking countries of Africa, with a concentration on the Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, & Tunisia) and Western Africa. I have outlined how I integrate technology into the teaching of each area.

• Cultural videos on French-speaking Africa, Morocco, Moroccan music videos, and West Africa.
  
  
• Moroccan music CDs with lyrics.
  
  
• Un Pays Francophone. Each student researches and reports on a French-speaking African country, using French, the Internet, word processing software, and Power Point.
  
  
• Le Maghreb Web Quest. In groups, students research a topic related to the culture of the countries of the Maghreb. Students create Power Point presentations to teach their classmates about their particular topic.

• Senegal Internet Activity using Senegal-online.com.
  
  
• Virtual Visit to Gorée Island. I show the students the streaming video and photos.
  
  
• Mon Avenir. Students use Power Point, clip art, word processing software, and a bit of French to put together a booklet describing their future.
  
  
• Film Study of Kirikou et la Sorciere using lesson plans from Filmarobics.
