In order to dock a ship, the ship must be brought alongside an existing
dock and anchored. Once the ship is fully stopped and anchored directly
next to the dock, the ship is considered docked.
Monitoring your speed and heading is very critical as you approach a dock,
as colliding with the dock is easy to do. Damage is not yet done when an
anchor is dropped at high speeds. However, this will change in the future
and you will want to be attentive of your speed when docking or dropping
When a ship is docked, full repair and maintenance can be done. You must
also return to a dock to purchase guns and ammunition. A dock is the safest
place for your ship to reside.
Note: Docks and shipyards will soon be run by workers who will charge you
for their services.
