RENAME

Syntax for mortals:
    rename <new name>

Mortals level 6 or below who have not had their name approved yet can choose
a name from the NAMES list and RENAME themselves to it. The preapproved
names can be viewed by typing NAMES by itself or by typing NAMES <letter>
to view names that begin with that letter.

NAMES <letters>, like "NAMES-ED", will show you names beginning with that
group of letter. This makes it easier to find a name similar to your own
if you are trying to name a bloodline character, or simply like keeping a
trend in your characters' names.

Once you select a name you like simply type RENAME and the name you chose
from the list to change your name.

  Examples:

   If you type
names = it will show you all the preapproved names
names r = it will show you the preapproved names starting with "R"
names ron = it will show you names beginning with Ron
rename lichar = it will change your name to Lichar

Keep in mind that if you misspell a name from the list or choose a name
that is not on the list it will not work.

Abuse of the rename command can cause a player to get frozen, purged, or
sitebanned.

If you are a god or avatar you can use this command to rename a player to
the medieval name of their choice. The name should fit the guidelines in
help NAMES

Syntax for avatars and gods:
    rename <playername> <newname>

Avatars can only RENAME a player who is badnamed or who has not yet been
approved. Avatars and gods can only rename players at total level 31 or
below. Players at total level 31 or higher must e-mail Vryce@Medievia.com
with a good reason for a name change.
